Hyro growth audit
HyroOctober 2026
Five moves around Orange Mango, where the product page says 50% off and the cart says 20% off for the same box.
- One price story: 50% off $79.90 on the page, 20% off $49.90 in the cart; anchor on $49.90 and add a 90-day tier.
- A cart that steps up: 60 days costs $1.08 a stick against $1.33, never offered in the drawer.
- A guarantee that covers the box: today it allows two sachets used and excludes sale items.
- A pre-sell for the afternoon crash: the ads sell the problem, and no page on the store tells that story.
- The prize game off the first load: 2116 ms of main thread, and the largest paint on desktop.
The moves
One price story, PDP to checkout
Where: Orange Mango buy box
- The product page says 50% off $79.90, the cart says 20% off $49.90 for the same box
- Product page shows $39.95, cart and checkout charge $39.92
- 60-day is tagged Most popular, but the 30-day box is preselected
- Variation 1: anchor on the real $49.90 one-time price, itemise $30 bottle and $6.95 shipping
- Variation 2: same, plus 60 days preselected and a 90-day tier at $89.82 (proposed)
- One price on product page, cart and checkout; read on revenue per visitor
The page says 50% off $79.90. The cart says 20% off $49.90. Same box.
Proposed, not measured: $89.82 for 90 days = 90 sticks ($149.70 one-time) at 40% off, $1.00 a stick; 60-day preselected is proposed.

Cart drawer that steps up
Where: Cart drawer after add to cart
- After add to cart, half the drawer is empty: no step-up, no second flavour
- 60 days costs $1.08 a stick against $1.33 for 30 days, never offered in the cart
- A one-time buyer is told to spend $0.10 more for free shipping, with nothing to add
- One tap card: make it 60 days for $24.98 more (proposed copy), same free bottle
- Add a second flavour pack at the $19.96 AutoShip price
- One-time cart: the $20 bottle as the add-on that unlocks free shipping
A one-time buyer is ten cents from free shipping, and the cart has nothing to add.
Proposed, not measured: '+$24.98' = 60-day $64.90 minus 30-day $39.92; card copy and placement are proposed.
Items and prices from the live cart; the step-up difference is $64.90 minus $39.92.
A guarantee that covers the box
Where: Buy box guarantee and refund policy
- The buy box promises a 30-Day Guarantee next to the price
- The policy caps it at two sachets used, and the buyer pays return shipping
- Sale items cannot be returned, while every price carries the Fall Sale label
- Proposed terms: drink the whole first box for 30 days, refund without a return
- Name the terms in the buy box in one line, same words as the policy
- Variation vs control, read on revenue per visitor and 60-day refund rate
The guarantee allows two sachets. The box has thirty.
Proposed, not measured: The first-box refund terms are a proposal for the client to decide.
Today's terms quoted from the refund policy and the live buy box.
Afternoon-crash pre-sell page
Where: New pre-sell page for Meta traffic
- The ads sell a problem: 80% are dehydrated, the afternoon crash is a hydration problem
- The store has no page built for that story, only home, collection and product pages
- On a phone, a full-screen prize game covers the product page within seconds
- One pre-sell page on the afternoon crash: why water alone runs through, what fixes it
- 500mg sodium, 250mg potassium, 100mg magnesium as the proof, then the comparison table
- Ends on the new buy box, no prize game on the page
The ads sell the 3pm crash. No page on the store tells that story.
Ad hooks from the Meta Ad Library; landing pages inferred from the site.
Move the prize game off load
Where: Homepage and Orange Mango PDP
- Mobile PageSpeed is 34 on the homepage and 33 on the product page
- The prize game script takes 2116 ms of main thread, more than any other app
- On desktop the game's image is the largest paint: 4418 ms home, 5117 ms product page
- Load the game after the first scroll or exit intent, never at page load
- Keep it off the product page, so the largest paint is the product again
- Then defer Facebook (1064 ms) and Tag Manager (911 ms) behind interaction
The largest thing the page paints on desktop is the prize game, not the product.

Four sugar-free electrolyte brands that sell direct in the US, checked on 14 Oct 2026.
Where nobody is yet- A 90-day plan in the buy box. None of the four sells one; LMNT's 120-stick bundle comes closest, and Hyro's quarterly upgrade sits hidden in the subscription app.
- A trial that turns into the subscription. Cure sells loose sample sticks from $0.98; nobody credits a first try against the first AutoShip box.
- A guarantee for the whole first box. Only LMNT states a no-questions refund; Ultima, Cure and Liquid I.V. show no terms up front, and Hyro caps use at two sachets.
