Shopify Landing Page Optimization
CONVERTIBLES builds, tests, and optimizes Shopify landing pages that convert paid traffic into revenue. Every page is built to match the ad that sends traffic to it, tested against a control, and shipped by the same team running your CRO and ads. No handoffs. No guessing. Pages that earn their media spend.
What is Shopify landing page optimization?
Shopify landing page optimization is the process of building and improving dedicated pages on a Shopify store to maximize conversions from specific traffic sources. Instead of sending ad traffic to a generic product page or collection, you send it to a page designed around the exact promise, offer, and creative the visitor just clicked on.
The gap between what the ad says and what the page delivers is where most Shopify stores leak money. Landing page optimization closes that gap through message match, layout testing, and continuous iteration based on real revenue data.
At a Glance
- What we build: Dedicated landing pages for paid campaigns, product launches, promotions, and seasonal pushes
- How we build: Custom Liquid, not drag-and-drop page builders that add bloat and slow your store
- How we test: Every page is A/B tested against a control using Intelligems before rolling to 100% traffic
- Message match: Pages are designed around the specific ad creative, offer, and audience segment driving traffic
- Typical impact: Winning landing pages generate $10,000 to $100,000+ in additional monthly revenue
- Part of: The full Shopify CRO program, not a standalone service
Why Most Shopify Landing Pages Don't Convert
The ad says one thing. The page says another. A brand runs a Facebook ad about a specific product benefit, and the click lands on a generic collection page. The visitor has to hunt for whatever caught their attention. Most of them don't bother. They bounce, and the ad spend is wasted.
Page builders add more problems than they solve. Most Shopify landing page tools inject heavy JavaScript, slow down the store, and produce pages that don't match the theme. The page might look decent in a preview, but it loads in 4 seconds and kills Core Web Vitals. Google penalizes that. Visitors leave before the hero image renders.
Nobody tests the page. A team builds a landing page, launches ads to it, and calls it done. If it converts at 2%, that's the number they live with. No control test. No variant. No way to know if a different layout, offer, or headline would do better. That's not optimization. That's hope.
What We Do
Build Pages Around the Ad, Not the Template
Every landing page starts with the ad creative. What's the promise? What's the offer? What does the visitor expect to see after clicking? We build the page to deliver on that exact expectation. If the ad leads with a specific product benefit, the page opens with that benefit. If the ad features a bundle offer, the page makes that bundle the center of the experience.
Custom Liquid, Not Page Builders
We build landing pages in Liquid and Shopify sections. No third-party page builder scripts. Pages load fast, match the store's theme, and don't add technical debt. When we need custom functionality, we build it. When a Shopify section does the job, we use that.
Test Everything Against a Control
Every landing page is A/B tested using Intelligems. Traffic is split between the new page and the existing experience. We measure revenue per visitor, not just conversion rate. A page that converts higher but attracts lower-AOV buyers is not a winner.
Iterate Based on Revenue Data
The first version of a landing page is rarely the best one. After launch, we run follow-up tests on headline, offer framing, layout, social proof placement, and CTA. Each round of testing compounds on the last. A page that started at 2% CR can move to 3.5% over two or three test cycles.
What We Build Landing Pages For
- Paid media campaigns: Google, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram ads that need a dedicated conversion path
- Product launches: New product introductions that need their own story, not a standard PDP
- Seasonal promotions: BFCM, holiday, and sale-specific pages built to maximize urgency and conversion
- Bundle and offer pages: Dedicated pages for GWP, BOGO, and bundle offers that need more room than a popup
- Advertorial-style pages: Long-form pages that educate and convert, bridging the gap between content and commerce
How Landing Pages Fit Into the CRO Program
Landing page optimization is not a standalone project. It's one piece of the full CRO loop.
The ads team identifies which campaigns need dedicated pages. The CRO team builds and tests them. The dev team ships the code. At CONVERTIBLES, that's all one team. When a landing page test reveals that a specific offer structure works, we feed that insight back into ad creative and roll it across other pages. When ads data shows a new segment converting differently, we build a page for that segment.
This is why we bundle landing pages into the Shopify CRO program instead of selling them as a one-off service. A landing page built in isolation is a one-time bet. Landing pages built inside a testing program compound.

Who This Is For
- Shopify Plus brands doing $2M+/year in revenue with active paid media campaigns
- Brands spending $50K+/month on ads and sending traffic to generic product or collection pages
- Teams that know their landing pages underperform but don't have in-house design and dev to fix them
- Brands running promotions and launches that need dedicated conversion paths
Who This Is Not For
- Brands under $2M/year or without active ad campaigns (landing pages need paid traffic to test)
- Brands looking for a drag-and-drop page builder tool (we are a full-service program, not software)
- Brands wanting a one-off landing page without testing or iteration
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you use a landing page builder like GemPages or Shogun?
No. We build landing pages in custom Liquid and Shopify sections. Page builders inject JavaScript that slows the store and creates technical debt. Our pages load fast, match the theme, and don't depend on a third-party app to keep running.
How do you test landing pages?
Using Intelligems, our primary A/B testing platform. Traffic is split between the new landing page and the existing experience (usually a product or collection page). We measure revenue per visitor, not just conversion rate, to make sure a higher-converting page is also a higher-revenue page.
How many landing pages do you build per month?
It depends on the campaign calendar and test velocity. Most clients get 1 to 3 new landing pages per month as part of the CRO program, plus ongoing iteration on existing pages. We prioritize building fewer pages that get tested and improved over launching many pages that never get optimized.
Do landing pages work with my existing Shopify theme?
Yes. We build within your theme's framework so pages look native and load fast. No visual mismatch, no separate design system, no extra scripts fighting your theme.
What's the difference between a landing page and a product page?
A product page serves every visitor from every source. A landing page is built for a specific audience, offer, and traffic source. The landing page can control the message, remove distractions, and match the exact promise that brought the visitor in. Product pages are general purpose. Landing pages are targeted.
Can I get just landing pages without the full CRO program?
We bundle landing page optimization into the full CRO program because isolated pages without testing don't compound. If you just need a one-off page built, we're probably not the right fit. If you want landing pages that get tested, iterated, and fed into a broader growth system, that's what we do.
