Evo
Conversion testing roadmap
evo August 2026
The storefront has strong policy terms and clear product merchandising, but severe load delays stop shoppers before those strengths can work. This roadmap starts with speed, then brings trust, proof, and clearer purchase guidance into the moments closest to action.
Testing sequence
Where we start
Eight focused changes across speed, PDP confidence, cart reassurance, paid creative, and the homepage.
Homepage and PDP Load Time
Pages: Homepage and product detail pages
The homepage and tested PDP remain non-interactive for 45.5 and 49.8 seconds in the collected Lighthouse reports. That delay blocks every offer and purchase control on these templates. The proposed experience loads the core product surface first and becomes responsive within the good interaction range.
* Core product content and controls become usable before nonessential page elements. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Cart Drawer Trust Signals
Page: Cart drawer
The cart drawer keeps the product, scarcity note, recommendations, promo code, and checkout button, but drops the shipping, returns, and price-guarantee terms shown on the PDP. Those answers disappear when the shopper is closest to checkout. The variation restores all three policies in one compact reassurance panel above the promo code.
* Shipping, returns, and price protection stay visible inside the cart drawer. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
PDP Trust Near Add to Cart
Page: Product detail pages
Across the captured PDPs, shipping, returns, rewards, and price protection appear after Add to Cart and outside the first fold. The shopper must decide before seeing the strongest reassurance. The variation adds a concise policy summary directly under Add to Cart while preserving the full block below.
* The policy summary sits directly beneath Add to Cart without removing the full detail block below. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Review Proof for Bundle PDPs
Page: GNU Young Money kids' bundle PDP
The captured bundle PDP moves from its long product title straight into price and configuration, while the other reviewed PDPs show ratings beneath the title. The highest-priced item in the set therefore shows the least proof. The variation adds a review row in the established evo position, using bundle reviews or documented component review totals when available.
* Review proof appears beneath the bundle title using verified bundle or included-product reviews. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Bundle Configuration Steps
Page: GNU Young Money kids' bundle PDP
The bundle buy box stacks snowboard size, binding color, boot size, and quantity in one continuous block with no grouping. Three products read like one long selector. The variation turns the same choices into a numbered configuration path so shoppers can see what they have completed and what remains.
* The same three product choices become a visible, numbered configuration path. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Price-Led Paid Creative
Surface: Paid-social creative and landing pages
The reviewed paid-social copy uses broad seasonal language even when the creative shows one low-price accessory. Google creative states price and policy terms before the click, creating a sharper expectation. The variation leads with the exact product, price, original price, and one guarantee while keeping the same image and destination.
* The product, exact price, original price, and return promise appear before the click. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Free-Shipping Progress in Cart
Page: Cart drawer
The cart recommendation carousel offers more products without showing how the next item changes shipping eligibility. evo already promises free shipping over $50, but the drawer gives no progress cue. The variation turns that threshold into a live bar above recommendations and switches to a clear unlocked state once the cart qualifies.
* The cart shows progress toward $50 free shipping and confirms when the benefit is unlocked. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Homepage Brand Promise Row
Page: Homepage
The captured homepage opens with a sitewide sale bar and a second sale message in the hero, while evo's shipping, returns, price match, and membership promises appear much farther down the page. The first screen is strong on discount but quiet on why evo is safer to buy from. The variation keeps the campaign hero and adds the four evergreen promises before the category carousel.
* The campaign hero stays intact while evo's four evergreen promises move directly beneath it. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.

Biggest Killers of Conversion Rate
- Homepage and PDP performance is the clearest systemic risk. The homepage scored 34/100 with a 45.5s Time to Interactive, while the PDP scored 30/100 with a 49.8s Time to Interactive.
- evo's free-shipping threshold, return window, and price guarantee are competitive, but the policy block sits below Add to Cart and is absent from the cart drawer.
- Google ads state price, discount, and guarantee terms directly. The reviewed paid-social creative uses broad seasonal copy and leaves those details for the landing page.
