2026
Panafrica pairs a distinctive product and strong customer love for comfort and color with a storefront that delays the buying path and sends inconsistent offer signals. This roadmap removes technical and messaging breakpoints, then brings products, trust, fit guidance and recommendations closer to the decision.

The Roadmap
Homepage Load Experience
Page: Homepage
The homepage hero takes 16.6 seconds to become the largest visible element on mobile, while the page takes 23.4 seconds to become interactive. The delay keeps the collection and its shop path from appearing promptly. The proposed experience makes the existing campaign hero and controls visible quickly, with mobile LCP targeted below 4 seconds.
The same campaign surface becomes visible and usable much sooner. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Homepage First Fold
Page: Homepage
The opening fold shows lifestyle imagery and one “DÉCOUVRIR” CTA, while product prices and trust remain absent across the first three folds. Shoppers must scroll before they can see what is for sale or the proof already used on PDPs. The variation keeps the campaign image and adds a compact featured-product strip with prices and a review line beside the CTA.
Featured sneakers, prices and customer proof enter the first fold without replacing the campaign image. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Offer Message Match
Pages: Paid acquisition and onsite offers
Paid and onsite surfaces currently show -10€, 15€ and up to -40%, including a dated offer that is still serving. The conflict makes the promotion change as the shopper moves from promise to page. The proposed experience uses one current offer and repeats the same wording across each touchpoint.
Three conflicting amounts become one current promise repeated across the journey. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Paid Creative Feed
Surface: Paid search creative
Paid-search tiles display unfilled variables such as <Prix> and <Rating (Reviews)>, while another tile shows a raw 500 error. These are visible broken states inside active creative variants. The fix replaces every placeholder and error state with complete product, price, and destination content.
Broken variables and error tiles are replaced by complete product creative with real destinations. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
PDP Size Guidance
Page: Sahara-Safran product page
Sizing runs large is the most repeated complaint across more than 90 Sahara reviews, despite the existing fit note on the page. The advice sits below the selector, but it does not clearly lead the size decision. The variation places “Ce modèle taille grand” directly under the size buttons and recommends taking one size down.
The recurring sizing warning moves directly beneath the size buttons, before the purchase decision. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
PDP Recommendations
Pages: Product detail pages
Arusha product pages show “Nos recommandations” directly after delivery information, while Sahara-Safran does not show the module in the equivalent fold. The same template therefore presents different paths to a second item. The fix makes the recommendation block available consistently across every PDP.
The recommendation module appears in the same post-purchase zone on every product template. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Ratings Across Discovery Pages
Pages: Homepage and collection pages
The 5-star review block appears directly below product titles on PDPs, but the homepage and collection cards show no rating or review count. The proof arrives only after a shopper opens a product page. The variation carries a compact rating line into the homepage feature and every collection card.
The PDP review signal is carried into every discovery card, directly beneath the price. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Collection Quick Add
Page: New In collection
One collection card exposes a full size run and “Add to cart,” while every neighboring card shows only image, name and price. The state is not confirmed as a hover effect, a partial rollout or a rendering bug. Audit the interaction, then make every card use the same resolved purchase state.
The mixed grid resolves into one consistent card behavior, whether quick add is retained or removed. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Biggest Killers of Conversion Rate
- Paid and onsite surfaces present different offers, including a dated promotion that remains visible.
- The homepage combines a 16.6s mobile LCP with no product price or trust signal in its first three folds.
- Sizing confusion is the dominant repeated complaint across more than 90 Sahara reviews.
Data Sources Used
What We Found
Meta Ads and Landing Pages
- Offer-focused traffic can move from no discount promise to a landing page with a 15€ WhatsApp Club message and a separate -10€ bubble.
- Every reviewed paid-social landing page used the same 149€ Arusha PDP structure, with a 5-star trust block and the same two-tier purchase buttons.
- Live review counts and availability states no longer match the collected screenshots, confirming a timing gap between capture and audit.
Google Ads
- Search creative leads with ethical, vegan, eco-responsible and unique wax design messages, while paid-social creative leads with color, style and discount.
- A promotion for up to -40% remained visible after its stated 28 July end date.
- Several creative tiles show unfilled dynamic variables, and another shows a raw 500 error.
- No 5-star or review signal appears in the reviewed search creative.
Reviews and UGC
- Comfort is repeated across nearly every reviewed Sahara comment.
- Design originality, color combinations and perceived quality are recurring strengths.
- Sizing runs large is the most repeated complaint, with multiple customers recommending one size down and some recommending two sizes down.
- At least two reviewers say the physical colors are paler or duller than the product photography.
Page Speed Insights
- The homepage records a 0.49 performance score, 16.6s LCP, 5.6s FCP and 23.4s Time to Interactive.
- The Sahara-Safran PDP records a 0.64 performance score, 4.2s LCP, 3.2s FCP and 23.3s Time to Interactive.
- Both pages have near-identical Time to Interactive despite very different LCP results, suggesting a shared render-blocking or third-party script cost.
Site Screenshots
- The homepage shows no priced product or trust signal until its third fold.
- One collection card exposes sizes and Add to cart, while neighboring cards show only image, name and price.
- The 5-star review block appears high on PDPs but is absent from the reviewed homepage and collection cards.
- Arusha PDPs show a post-purchase recommendation module in a fold where Sahara-Safran does not.
Competitor Analysis
- No direct wax-print sneaker rival with comparable positioning surfaced in the research.
- Veja is the closest broader ethical French sneaker comparison, with a publicly observed price range of about €125 to €215.
- Panafrica's competitive pressure appears to come from the broader ethical and sustainable sneaker set rather than a like-for-like rival.
