RPS: offer tests
RPS Water PumpsOctober 2026
Offer tests for October, each on its own page and Meta ads. The winners become the November specials.
- Two tests on one kit offer page: free install tool vs $75 off, then get sized by an engineer for $50 off
- Booster with both install kits included: tested against kits extra, before booster week in November
- 3 new landing pages vs the product page: My Pump Quit, Weak Pressure, Farm and Ranch, same ad
- Week 4 gifts, not a % off: the tool from $1,250, plus a 27-month warranty from $2,000 (example)
- A 'match my old pump' tool: 51% of submersible buyers reach out to get sized
The concepts
Every test here runs on paid Meta ads, with a budget planned with the ads team before launch, so it gets enough orders for a clear result. A test that can't get there doesn't launch. Reps take 494 of 1,203 orders, so each ad set gets its own tracking phone number and form tag, and phone orders count too. Offers and landing pages are tested apart, so each result is a fair comparison.
Test a free install tool against $75 off the Core Series kit
Where: A new offer page for the Core Series kit, for Meta ads
- The Core Series kit has no October offer. Steel Pro kits have $75 off
- Website pump orders with a discount: 86 of 365, typical discount $75
- Only 6.8% of kit orders add the $49.99 Drop-Assist tool for installing it yourself
- One new offer page for the kit, not in the menu, with its own Meta ads
- Control: $75 off (example). Variation: the Drop-Assist tool and QuickStart Guide free
- Same ad, same page, only the offer changes. The winner becomes the special for November week 1
Same ad, same page, two offers. The orders tell us which one becomes the November week 1 special.
Example figures, for illustration: $694.99 is $769.99 minus an example $75 off, the same as the Steel Pro offer. We can agree on the exact offer together.
Kit and tool prices from the store on 11 Oct 2026.
Get sized by an RPS engineer: $50 off, water guaranteed
Where: The same new kit offer page, after the free tool vs $75 off test
- Reps give a discount on 72.6% of pump orders, the website on 23.6%. Reps give $50 off for sizing
- The product page says 'Save $$ When You Call', with no amount and only a phone number
- RPS guarantees water when an engineer sizes the pump, but it's only in the FAQ
- Next test on the offer page: get sized, $50 off (example), water guaranteed, price held 30 days (example)
- Two ways in: call, or send the well details by form or text and get a call back
- Each ad set gets its own tracking phone number and form tag, so phone orders count in the result
RPS already guarantees water when an engineer sizes the pump. Nobody on the website can see it.
Example figures, for illustration: $50 off is the same as the reps' sizing discount. The 30-day price hold is an example; we can agree on both together.
Concept illustration only. Phone number and prices as on the store, 11 Oct 2026.
Booster week: both install kits included, not a price cut
Where: A new offer page for the 3HP booster, for Meta ads
- The 3HP booster is in 82 website orders, 19.7% of website sales in 60 days
- Its two install kits sell separately, at $132.99 and $64.99
- Week 2 of the November plan is booster pumps
- A booster offer page with its own Meta ads, aimed at homes with a storage tank
- Control: booster at $1,249.99, kits extra. Variation: both kits included (example)
- If the ads can't bring enough visitors for a clear result, the bundle runs as the November week 2 special without a test
Booster week can give away both install kits instead of cutting the pump price.
Example figures, for illustration: Both kits included at $1,249.99 is an example. We can agree on the exact offer together.

Test 3 new landing pages against the product page: My Pump Quit, Weak Pressure, Farm and Ranch
Where: 3 new landing pages, planned by Mariya and being built now
- 3 landing pages are being built, one per type of buyer: My Pump Quit, Weak Pressure, Farm and Ranch
- Replacing a pump is the top reason people buy: 47% of survey customers
- Meta brings almost no orders today: 1 of 184 survey answers came from Meta
- Each page gets its own Meta ads. The same ad sends half to the landing page, half to the product page
- Today's price and offer on both sides, so the page is the only change
- Kept apart from the offer tests, so each result is a fair comparison
Offers and pages are tested apart. Each result shows exactly what changed the orders.
Pages and personas from Mariya's doc of 5 Oct 2026.
Week 4: free gifts for bigger orders, not a % off
Where: The cart, during the week 4 sitewide sale
- Week 4 of the November plan is everything on sale
- Half of website pump orders are over $1,020, so a $1,000 step would give them a gift for nothing extra
- Buyers rate free extras as high as cash: $200 off 4.1, warranty 4.0
- Every order gets the QuickStart Guide
- $1,250 and up (example): the Drop-Assist tool free, just above the $1,020 order
- $2,000 and up (example): the tool plus the 27-month warranty
Everyone else cuts prices in week 4. RPS gives the install tool and a longer warranty.
Example figures, for illustration: $1,250 and $2,000 are example steps. Half of pump orders are over $1,020. We can agree on the steps together.

A 'match my old pump' tool for Meta and Google ads
Where: A new tool page, for Meta and Google ads
- 51% of submersible buyers contacted RPS to get sized. 25% didn't have their well details
- Reps take 494 of 1,203 orders. Many buyers want help before they buy
- Replacing a pump is the top reason people buy: 47% of survey customers
- Start from the old pump: brand, horsepower and voltage from its label, well depth if known
- Show the matching RPS kit. If details are missing, offer 'get sized by an engineer'
- Every answer goes to the rep, so the call starts with the facts. Test it against the product page
Buyers may not know their well, but they can read the label on the old pump. Start there.
Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Four places RPS buyers compare, checked 11 Oct 2026.
Where nobody is yet- Guaranteed water: nobody promises the system will give water. RPS has it, in FAQ text only.
- Sizing as an offer: Tuhorse lists a phone, SupplyHouse and VEVOR sell a pump with no sizing at all.
- Install-ready: nobody includes the install tool or kits; every store competes on markdowns.
