Selkirk
Conversion testing roadmap
September 2026
Selkirk has strong product demand and deep proof, but key journeys do not always deliver the promise that earned the click. This roadmap brings the core paddle range forward, gives paid visitors a clearer next step, and removes friction around speed, stock, shipping, and add-ons.
Testing Lineup
Eight focused opportunities across the homepage, product pages, performance, and cart.
Homepage Hero CTA Routing
Page: Homepage
The homepage hero promotes the Pro Line 2.0 Bag Series, and its only "Buy Now" button opens a three-product bags collection with no paddles. The first direct route to paddles appears after two full folds. The variation sends the hero CTA to the paddle collection so the main entry point opens Selkirk's core category.
The same hero opens the paddle collection instead of a bags-only destination. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Color-Level Stock Recovery
Page: Vanguard Power Air - S2
The live $100.99 page still shows 847 reviews, but it is no longer a complete dead end: Red is available with Add to Cart while Black, Prestige, Selkirk Red, and Shadow Gray remain unavailable. The variation appears only after an unavailable color is selected, preserving Notify Me while adding a direct route to the buyable Red option and comparable in-stock paddles.
Red remains directly buyable; the recovery path appears only for the four unavailable colors. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
AMPED Deal Message
Page: AMPED Pro Air - Epic
Deal-focused traffic reaches a captured page showing $100 and a "Free Gift With Purchase" badge, but no visible discount or named gift. The offer exists, yet its value is left implicit. The variation names the included gift beside the price so the landing page immediately reflects the promise that earned the click.
The existing gift offer becomes explicit beside the price, with the exact gift named once confirmed. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Mobile Load Time
Pages: Homepage and Project Boomstik PDP
Mobile Lighthouse shows a 12.0-second LCP on the homepage and 9.9 seconds on the Boomstik PDP, while both pages take more than 12 seconds to become interactive. Layout stability and blocking time already perform well, but the main content arrives late. The fix prioritizes the first visible content so the homepage hero and Boomstik buy box appear sooner.
Primary mobile media and purchase content become the first loading priority on both templates. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Towel Review Order
Page: Tacky Grip Towel
Paid creative leads with a five-star testimonial about paddle quality, while the towel page's first visible reviews include a two-star "Not great" review and a three-star durability complaint. The first page impression contradicts the promise before shoppers see the positive feedback. The variation opens the section with the highest-rated towel reviews while keeping every review available.
The review section opens with five-star towel feedback while every rating remains accessible. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Delayed Cart Reassurance
Page: Cart drawer
The live Boomstik cart shows "Shipping: FREE" and a free-shipping confirmation, with no delay warning or 30-Day Guarantee in the drawer. The earlier warning may be conditional on a delayed SKU, so this test needs a fresh delayed-line-item capture before scoping. If that notice still appears, keep it intact and place the existing guarantee directly beneath it.
The live cart is shown first; the reassurance treatment remains conditional on recapturing a delayed SKU. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Delayed-Variant Shipping Context
Page: Project Boomstik
The live $333 Boomstik page still shows 2,664 reviews and an active Add to Cart button, but the checked variant no longer shows a 2-3-week shipping note near the buy box. This test should proceed only if another variant still carries a confirmed delay. For that delayed state, pair the lead time with a reason and estimated delivery date.
The live buy box removes the stale delay claim; the proposed message applies only to a confirmed delayed variant. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
Frequently Bought Together
Page: Project Boomstik PDP
The live Boomstik add-on row shows the Pro Line 2.0 Team Backpack at $248, CourtStrike shoe at $127.99, OMNI at $300 out of stock, and Pro S1 at $150 against $250. Available items still require separate Quick Add actions. The variation adds one "Add 3 available items" action while leaving OMNI visibly unavailable and preserving individual controls.
The available Boomstik add-ons gain one combined action while OMNI remains visibly unavailable. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.
