Spikeball November Roadmap
SpikeballNovember 2026
Seven tests for November, one spare, and a speed fix. Each one targets a gap we found in the data.
- Set comparison page: compare the sets side by side.
- Landing pages for ads: a gift guide, a TITAN page and a Spikepong page, each matched to Taikun's ads.
- Phone menu redesign (SB03): best sellers, reviews and the warranty in the menu.
- Free gear by cart value: a gift at $100 and $150, with no price change.
- Checkout trust block: replace the "$75" line, test promises vs reviews.
- Spare balls after payment (spare): a one-tap ball pack offer.
Last November, spikeball.com sold Spikepong, mostly one per order.

US visitors, Google Analytics. Last year's numbers are complete; this year's are undercounted by the cookie banner, so we compare against last year with care.
This year's rules- Prices match Amazon on every product. Nothing on spikeball.com can be cheaper.
- The sale: 20% off everything 19 to 25 Nov, 25% off 26 to 30 Nov.
- The cart drawer test (SB01) goes first, from 5 Nov. One test per part of the site at a time.
The concepts
Seven tests and one spare, in priority order. The set comparison page comes first, then three landing pages for ads, then the menu, cart and checkout tests. Each changes a different part of the site, so they can run at the same time.
Which set is right for you?
Where: A new comparison page, opened from All Sets and from set ads
- There is no page that compares the sets by need.
- The All Sets page lists 10 products with no comparison, including two Weekender listings at $74.99.
- 47 of 66 low Weekender reviews since 2023 describe a broken rim. Many say they should have bought a sturdier set.
- Women 35 to 64 make 45% of our Meta purchases. Many are buying for someone who plays.
- A brand-new page. On a computer, a table: four sets across, the same criteria down. On phones, a numbered list where each set answers the same questions.
- "Still not sure?" 3 quick questions point to one set.
- Criteria: best for, size, frame, what comes in the box, price. TITAN is marked as built to last and leads the phone list.
- Half the visitors who open All Sets see the new page. Live before the sale, around 16 Nov. It doesn't touch the product page buy box (SB02).
Expected result: more All Sets visitors buy a set, and more of them choose TITAN.
Example figures, for illustration: the criteria and the "best for" lines are examples. Size, frame and box contents come from today's product pages. Final facts to be confirmed.
New comparison page: a table on a computer, a numbered list on phones. Today there is no such page. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.

Built from Taikun's persona brief (4 Nov). One page per buyer type, matched to the ads that send them. Same products, same prices. Half of each ad's visitors see the new page, half see today's page, US only. They come right after the set comparison page. Taikun's "Which set is right for you?" quiz is already pick 1.

| Where ads land today | What happens (paid social, US) |

| Traveler product page | 128 visits in late October, 0 added to cart |
| Homepage | 0.23% of visits buy (90 days) |
| Spikepong product page | 9% add to cart, 1.62% buy. The one page that works |

Gift guide
Where: A new gift page, for Taikun's gift ads ("Greatest Gift Giver", the gift static, grad gifts)
- Women 35 to 64 make 45% of our Meta purchases. Women 45 to 54 buy after 3.7% of clicks; young men after about 1%.
- Gift ads return $1.93 per $1 spent, against $1.26 for the average ad (Meta, 90 days).
- Spikeball + Spikepong gift ads cost $40 per sale.
- 400 reviews mention gifts. The buyer is often not the one who plays.
- First screen: "Give the gift that gets everyone outside", the order-by date for Christmas, free shipping over $75.
- Shop by who it's for: kids and teens, college, the whole family, office and apartment. Then shop by price: under $40, $40 to $80, $80 and up.
- "The greatest gift giver picks both": a set plus Spikepong in one tap, full price. It goes over $75, so it ships free.
- Gift reviews and the warranty. Live by 18 Nov, before the sale. After the last shipping date, the page switches to gift cards.
Expected result: more gift buyers order, and more buy two items.
Example figures, for illustration: Christmas order-by dates in [brackets] come from Matt. Product picks per recipient are examples. Headline from Taikun's ads, final copy with Hunter.
New gift page for gift ads, on a computer and on phones. The page structure follows our landing page playbook: the first screen matches the ad, a button in every section, the main worry (delivery by Christmas) in its own section. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.

TITAN page
Where: A new TITAN page, for Taikun's TITAN creator videos (Briton, Emma, Dylan Rally, "Some things are non-negotiable")
- TITAN is a third of site revenue: $33,598 in 60 days, with the best margin.
- Since 19 Oct, paid social visitors on the TITAN page added nothing to cart.
- The page opens with "Like steroids for your game. But legal." Pro claims return half as much as the average ad.
- "What's included" is hard to find, and TITAN has only 12 reviews.
- First screen: the same creator video as the ad, "One set. Endless weekend memories.", price and Add to cart right below.
- Everything in the box, laid out flat, free gear included.
- TITAN vs Pro vs 3-Ball Set in one table: stability, legs, bag, price.
- Creator clips as proof, then reviews. Its own Add to cart. A separate page, so it runs next to the buy box test (SB02). Live by 18 Nov.
Expected result: TITAN ad visitors start adding to cart.
Example figures, for illustration: box contents and the free gear follow today's TITAN pages, to be signed off by Hunter. Warranty follows your answer on one year vs five. Videos are Taikun's creator ads.
New TITAN page for TITAN creator ads, on a computer and on phones. Built on our playbook for ad landing pages and creator pages: the same video and line as the ad, price and button on the first screen, a sticky Add to cart on phones. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.

Spikepong page
Where: A new Spikepong page, for "Tiny Net, Huge Bragging Rights" and Behind Your Back
- Last year's sale weeks: 4,614 Spikepongs sold, $163,894, about one per order.
- One Spikepong pays $10 shipping. The page says "Complimentary shipping & returns".
- Today's Spikepong page already works: 9% add to cart from ads.
- First screen from the ad. Then "Play it anywhere": kitchen table, office, dorm, party.
- Pick 1, 2 or 3 sets. 2 or more ship free. Same price per set.
- "Take the game outside too": Spikepong plus the Original Kit.
- Starts 1 Dec, after the sale. We don't risk the page that sold $163,894 last year during the sale itself.
Expected result: more Spikepong buyers take two.
Example figures, for illustration: "2 or more ship free" needs sign-off from Hadas and Taikun. Place photos come from Taikun's ads. Rules wording from the How To Play page.
New Spikepong page for Spikepong ads, on a computer and on phones. Built on our playbook: one page per ad angle, a button in every section, and a buy box where two sets is the clear best pick. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.

Phone menu redesign
Where: The menu on phones, every page
- Paid social visitors are almost all on phones: 98% to 99% on the pages we checked (GA4).
- The phone menu opens on two closed headings, "Shop" and "Communities". No products, prices or reviews.
- The Shop list still starts with "Summer Bundles" (live site, 4 Nov).
- The menu shows no reviews. Spikeball has 6,000+.
- The menu opens from the left, with a new top bar.
- A banner slider at the top. The first slide: "1-Year Limited Warranty. Every set is covered against manufacturing defects."
- A Best Sellers row with picture, rating and price: TITAN Set, the Original Kit, Pro Balls, Pro Kit Spares.
- A "What they say" row of verified reviews, and a yellow bottom bar with Login and socials. Phones only. We read it on shoppers who open the menu and track every tap.
Expected result: shoppers who open the menu reach products faster and buy more often.
Example figures, for illustration: the warranty line follows your answer on one year vs five. Products and reviews match the SB03 design.
The phone menu, open, and the Shop list. Desktop menu stays as today. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.

Free gear by cart value
Where: The cart drawer and the top bar, on every page
- We can't go below Amazon's price on Pro, TITAN or the 3-Ball Set, and prices match Amazon across the store.
- The TITAN free gift was used on 84 of 163 TITAN orders (30 Aug to 29 Oct).
- Sale-week orders are small: about $47 each last year. Today 57% of orders are under $50.
- A TITAN review asks for a ball pump (Oct 2026).
- The cart shows three steps: free shipping at $75, a free Ball Pump at $100, a free Glow 2-Pack at $150.
- It shows the gap in dollars: "$5.02 more for a free Ball Pump". Once unlocked, the gift drops into the cart at $0.
- The top bar names the next gift on every page.
- Starts when the cart drawer test (SB01) ends, on its winning drawer. Runs through the sale.
Expected result: higher order value in the sale weeks, with prices still matching Amazon.
Example figures, for illustration: the $100 and $150 steps and the gifts are examples. Final steps follow the sale prices, gift stock and the holiday discount plan.
Cart drawer on phones, same $94.98 cart in both. Desktop uses the same bar. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.

Checkout trust block
Where: The top of checkout, phones and computers
- Checkout opens with "Free Shipping Over $75". Three sets cost $74.99: the 3-Ball Kit (labelled "Best Seller"), the Weekender and the USA Weekender.
- 16 orders came in at exactly $74.99 in 60 days. Every one paid shipping, 1 cent short of free.
- 800 of 1,190 US web orders (67%) paid shipping in the same 60 days, $8,255 in total.
- In the sale, 20% off puts the 3-Ball Kit at $59.99.
- V1: a promise block with warranty, Christmas delivery date and secure checkout. No $75 line. Carts over $75 see "Your order ships free".
- V2: a review block with 4.8 stars from 6,000+ reviews and one verified review.
- The discount box for military, first responders, medical workers and teachers stays as it is.
- Control, V1 and V2 split evenly, US only. Runs alongside the other tests, since checkout is a different part of the site.
Expected result: more shoppers under $75 finish checkout.
Example figures, for illustration: the promises, the review and the order-by date are examples. The warranty length and the Christmas date wait on your answers below.

Spare balls after payment
Where: A new page shown right after payment, for set orders
- Only 59 of 596 US set orders (10%) added paid extra balls (30 Aug to 29 Oct).
- 123 orders were balls only. 92 of them paid shipping, $945 in total.
- 542 Glow 2-Packs sold in last year's sale weeks (17 to 30 Nov).
- After payment, set buyers see "Spare balls for game day?" with the pack that fits their set, e.g. Pro Balls (2 Pack), $19.99.
- V2 offers the Glow 2-Pack ($17.99) instead.
- Full price, same box, no extra shipping, one tap. "No thanks" goes to the order page.
- Nothing changes before payment, so it is safe to run during the sale.
Expected result: more set orders include balls, with no change before payment.
Example figures, for illustration: which ball pack goes with which set is an example. The fit is to be confirmed. Prices are today's prices.
The page right after payment, on a phone. Desktop shows the same offer. Concept illustration only. Final design will differ.

Site speed: remove old code before the sale.
- What we foundThe homepage sends over 1 MB of page code to phones, before any images load. It loads 41 outside scripts and 102 inline scripts (live site, 4 Nov).
- WhyCode from page builders the site no longer uses (Shogun, GemPages) still loads on every page.
- What we'd doRemove unused app code, delay scripts that aren't needed to show the page, and check image sizes. Homepage, TITAN and Spikepong pages first.
- How we measure itNot an A/B test. We record Google PageSpeed scores before and after, and watch conversion against the same weeks last year. Done by 18 Nov, before 20% off starts.
Picks 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 go live before the sale. Pick 6 follows the cart drawer test. Pick 4 starts 1 Dec.

SB01 goes live once Intelligems is installed. If that slips, each date moves with it.
Before the sale: four quick fixes- Say the right warrantyOur refund policy covers sets for five years. Every set page, and the approved cart drawer design, says one year. Confirm which is right and we update every page before SB01 goes live.
- Fix the Spikepong shipping lineThe page says "Complimentary shipping & returns", then checkout adds $10 for one set.
- Get Spikepong reviews inOur holiday best seller shows 1 review. Only 44 reviews of any product came in this year.
- Refresh the top barIt still promotes the Traveler launch. We'll update it and take down the October slider.
Questions for Spikeball
- Is five years the right warranty for sets?Needed for the cart drawer's trust row (SB01), the checkout test (pick 7) and every set page
- Which set facts should the comparison page use (size, materials, what's in the box), and who signs them off?Needed for pick 1
- Which free gear can we give, and how much stock is there: Ball Pump, Glow 2-Pack, PK Hat? Is the TITAN Fully Loaded gift still on?Needed for pick 6 and the holiday discount plan
- Does the Intelligems plan include offers after payment?Needed for the after-payment spare. Also: which ball packs fit which set?
- What are the order-by dates for Christmas delivery in the US?Needed for the top bar, the gift guide (pick 2), pick 6 and the checkout test (pick 7)
- Can Taikun point some set ads at the comparison page?Pick 1 reads faster with more traffic. We'd split those ads 50/50 with today's page
- Can Taikun restart TITAN spend and send the creator video files, and put each persona's ads behind its new page?Needed for picks 2 to 4. Without ad spend on a page, its test can't read
- Is "2 or more Spikepongs ship free" OK with the discount plan?Needed for pick 4. Hadas and Taikun to agree
- Can we hide "Free Shipping Over $75" at the top of checkout for the test? The $75 offer itself stays the same.Needed for pick 7. Taikun's ads quote $75, so we'll tell them first
Future concepts
Ideas for after the holiday. Each waits on a date or on a test that runs first.
Traveler page
When: Spring 2027, beach season
- Traveler ad visitors: 128 visits in late October, 0 added to cart.
- There are no photos of the Traveler in a backpack or beach bag (Hunter, 30 Oct).
- A page for Traveler ads: packed-down size, places to play, Traveler vs the standard set.
- Now: add the backpack and beach-bag photos to the Traveler product page.
Weekender Backup Pack
When: January
- Weekender Kit Spares is the #3 product by orders: 128 in 60 days.
- A spare rim costs $7 but shipping adds $10, a review says.
- An unticked "Add the Backup Pack" box under Add to cart on the Weekender page.
- Spare rims, a leg and a net, shipped with the set.
Free-shipping line: $75 or higher?
When: January, with Taikun
- The move to $89 was planned and never tested, because ads quote $75.
- No orders bunch up just above $75 today.
- Test the current $75 against a higher line, judged on profit per visitor.
- Agree the ad copy with Taikun first.
PE teacher page
When: Early 2027, less seasonal
- Teachers buy 6 to 9 sets at a time in reviews.
- A PE page already exists but gets about 28 US visits a month.
- A class-pack offer on the PE page, with durability and the warranty up front.
