The Technical Team Your Shopify Brand Doesn't Have
SEO, dev, automation, conversion work, weekly business intelligence. One partner, one flat monthly retainer, one bot you message when you need something done.
Who this is for
DTC brands doing roughly $2M to $20M with a founder and a small team. You have someone for marketing and someone for ops. You don't have anyone for the technical work. So it goes to a rotating cast of freelancers, or it doesn't happen.
You know the list. The theme change nobody has touched in three months. The Klaviyo flow still on the old template. The weekly numbers someone assembles by hand every Monday. The SEO "someone should look at".
We're the someone.
The lanes
You pick what's active. We do the work, watch it, and keep it running.
1. SEO and AI search
Classic SEO plus visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI answers, where a growing share of your buyers now start. We run this on our own business and on client stores with our own tooling. Content and technical fixes ship weekly, not in a quarterly report.
2. Dev and conversion work
Theme work, landing pages, app integrations, checkout and PDP improvements, speed. Conversion work is part of this lane: when something is worth testing we test it, when it's obviously better we just ship it. No test-a-week treadmill, no design committee.
3. Automation
The repetitive stuff your team does by hand, done by bots we build and maintain. Order and inventory alerts, review and support triage, supplier follow-ups, reporting, content drafts from your product data. Cross-tool: Shopify, Slack or WhatsApp, Klaviyo, your task tool, your sheets.
4. Business intelligence
A weekly brief in your Slack or WhatsApp: sales, ads, tests, SEO, stock. What moved, why, what we're doing about it. Written by our system, checked by a human, in your inbox Monday morning.
5. AI watch
The industry moves weekly and you don't have time to follow it. We do, for our own business. When a model, tool or Shopify feature changes what's possible for your store, we tell you and we implement it. This is why the retainer is monthly: the system you get in month one is not the one you have in month six.
How it works
- Audit (week 1): We map your stack, your team's repetitive work, and the technical backlog. You get a prioritised list.
- Setup (weeks 2 to 4): We deploy the lanes you picked. Most of it is built already, because we've run it on our own agency and on other stores. This is configuration, not invention.
- Run: One bot in your Slack or WhatsApp. Ask it for a change, a report, a number. Behind it: our team and our system.
We built this for ourselves first
Our agency runs on it today:
- Daily team sync between our task tool and Slack, handled by a bot.
- Weekly client updates generated from live test data, checked by a human, sent Monday.
- SEO and AI-search content for our own site, produced by the same pipeline we'd run for you.
- Test ideation and roadmaps for 10 stores, from one shared engine.
Before that, we ran CRO programs for 10+ Shopify brands. Same team, same stores, wider job.
Pricing
Flat monthly. No hours, no change requests, no surprise invoices.
- Starter: one lane, next business day response
- Partner: three lanes, same day response
- Everything: all five lanes, same day response plus weekend watch
Every tier includes monitoring, upkeep, model and tool upgrades, and one new automation or improvement per month. Setup fee plus monthly retainer, quoted after the audit call.
Why the retainer costs what it does: things break at 9pm on a Saturday. The premium is us noticing first.
Questions we get
Do you replace my developer, SEO freelancer or CRO agency?
Usually yes, one at a time. Most clients start with one lane and consolidate over a few months.
What access do you need?
A Shopify staff account with scoped permissions, your Slack or WhatsApp, and whichever tools the active lanes touch. Everything runs under your accounts. Nothing leaves with us if we part ways.
What if a bot does something wrong?
Everything client-facing (emails, posts, orders) has a human check before it goes out. Internal automations (alerts, reports, drafts) are logged. You can see what ran and why.
Do you still run A/B tests?
When they're worth it. We've run CRO programs for 10+ Shopify brands and still do. What we don't do anymore is promise a test a week regardless of whether there's something worth testing.
Minimum term?
Three months, then monthly.
